Jobs decided to donate the mouse he used during the presentation to the time capsule, and as a result, it became known as the ‘Steve Jobs Time Capsule.’ Organizers and attendees looked forward to one day excavating the Time Capsule, but unfortunately it was lost after a major landscaping project went underway near the burial location.
The National Geographic TV Show Diggers got together a group to track down and unearthed the time capsule in an Aspen field which was supposed to be dug up in 2000. They eventually found in last September.

Photos have leaked of what is allegedly an iPhone 6 prototype.

The device clearly has a larger display, a thinner profile, and a curved edge design more similar to the iPad. Current rumors have Apple releasing the iPhone 6 in 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch configurations. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Newsletter, App Store, YouTube - iOS, Android Accounted for Nearly 96% of All Smartphone Shipments in Fourth Quarter of 2013

Android and iOS accounted for 95.7% of all smartphone shipments in the fourth quarter of 2013, a 4.5% jump from the same period a year ago. Android held 78.1% of market share for 4Q13 shipments, while 17.6% shipments went to iOS.
The smartphone market passed an important milestone in 2013 when worldwide shipments surpassed the 1 billion mark for the first time, driven by continued momentum from Android and iOS. According to the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker, Android and iOS accounted for 95.7% of all smartphone shipments in the fourth quarter of 2013 (4Q13), and for 93.8% of all smartphone shipments for the year. This marked a 4.5-point increase from the 91.2% share that the two platforms shared in 4Q12, and a 6.1-point increase from the 87.7% share they had in 2012
“Clearly, there was strong end-user demand for both Android and iOS products during the quarter and the year,” says Ramon Llamas, Research Manager with IDC’s Mobile Phone team. “What stands out are the different routes Android and Apple took to meet this demand. Android relied on its long list of OEM partners, a broad and deep collection of devices, and price points that appealed to nearly every market segment. Apple’s iOS, on the other hand, relied on nearly the opposite approach: a limited selection of Apple-only devices, whose prices trended higher than most. Despite these differences, both platforms found a warm reception to their respective user experiences and selection of mobile applications.”

“(The Apple board) has returned the bulk of its U.S.-generated cash to shareholders via aggressive stock buybacks and dividends payouts,” the ISS report said. “In light of these good-faith efforts and its past stewardship, the board’s latitude should not be constricted by a shareholder resolution that would micromanage the company’s capital allocation process.”
Icahn is trying to get shareholders to approve a proposal that would see Apple increase its buyback by $50 billion.

Apple has been sued 92 times in 3 years by patent trolls, making it the most targeted company, according to a statement filed with the FTC.
The remarks are in response to the Commission’s request for public comments concerning its proposed collection of information pertaining to Patent Assertion Entities (“PAEs”).
No firm has been targeted by PAEs more than Apple. Apple has litigated against PAEs 92 times in the past three years alone, and has received many more demands. Its experience confirms what many others have documented: although PAE activity is not necessarily harmful in theory, far too many PAEs exist only to extract undeserved royalties. As both a market leader and the PAEs’ favorite target, Apple has a special interest in policies that discourage this behavior. Apple thanks the Commission for undertaking this important study, and respectfully submits these comments on the Commission’s proposal.

Is your Apple Magic Mouse loosing connection?
Having issues losing connection with your Apple Magic Mouse? Well I was having that very same issue then started searching for possible solutions. My Magic Mouse was not staying connect to both my MacBook Pro & my wife’s MacBook Air. My Apple Wireless Keyboard was working just fine so this led me to believe that there was an issue with the mouse hardware. I searched on the web to find a few articles on the Apple discussion board about the batteries not always fitting correctly. Well with spring loaded connections I found that hard to believe. I did take out the batteries to play around with them. But the LED was always blinking showing that it found not find a connection. Or it would connect, then disconnect 1-5 sec later. The computer had enough time to register that the batteries were at 100% power.
Then I found one other blog about bluetooth interference from other devices. My iPhone 4s & my wife’s iPhone 5 were in the other room. I did not think there was a chance this this was the cause. But for the process on illumination I turned off the bluetooth from both phones, and ding. The Apple Wireless Mouse works perfect again. Thinking back I only turned on the bluetooth because of our new cars having bluetooth. I’ll have to keep turing it off when I want to use my wireless mouse (I’m not using a different mouse).
In conclusion if you have bluetooth enables on your phone it may interfere with your Magic Mouse. Your Apple Wireless Keyboard & Apple Wireless Toutchpad will not be affected. The devise are running of a similar frequency causing interference. Apple? Why didn’t you think of this? I guess my mouse is not as magical as I had hoped. But I still love it.
