Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Newsletter, App Store, YouTube - Apple Predicted to Sell 71.5 Million iPhones in Q4, Sales to Drop Drastically in Q1 [Chart]

KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is predicting that Apple will sell 71.5 million iPhone in Q4; however, as expected, sales will likely see a drastic drop in Q1 2015.
The iPhone 6 will reportedly account for almost 60% of all sales for the quarter at 41.65 million units. The iPhone 6 Plus comes in at a distant second partly due to a supply shortage. Kuo believes the shortage is due to high demand but also production issues.
Mostly due to off-season demand, sales of the iPhone in Q1 are expected to drop significantly. Kuo estimates Apple will sell 49.4 million units in the quarter, including 21.6 million iPhone 6 and 10.2 million iPhone 6 Plus handsets.

Evernote has updated its Penultimate app to address a surge of complaints following the release Penultimate 6.0 a week ago.
The new app garnered an overwhelming amount of 1 star reviews leading Evernote to issue a formal apology.
“We take a big approach to redesigns. We think that as devices become more powerful and operating systems change, our apps should follow suit. A week ago, we released an update to Penultimate, our handwriting app for iPad, that was meant to demonstrate our vision of where digital handwriting is headed. We did not do a good job. Simply put, we released this version too soon. Our big ideas were overshadowed by usability issues and incomplete features. The complaints from the community have been loud and justified.”

A U.S. judge has granted Apple final approval on a ‘highly unusual’ settlement agreement over its conspiration with publishers to raise e-book prices.
Back in July, Judge Denise Cote found Apple guilty of colluding with publishers to raise e-book prices. A damages trial was set to follow.
Apple vehemently denied the charges saying, “Apple did not conspire to fix ebook pricing and we will continue to fight against these false accusations. When we introduced the iBookstore in 2010, we gave customers more choice, injecting much needed innovation and competition into the market, breaking Amazon’s monopolistic grip on the publishing industry. We’ve done nothing wrong and we will appeal the judge’s decision.”
