Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Newsletter, App Store, YouTube - Apple to Produce 80 Million iPhone 6 Units By Year's End?

Apple suppliers are preparing parts and components for the production of up to 80 million iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus units before the year’s end, reports DigiTimes.
Apple aims to ship 80 million units of the iPhone 6-series products before the end of 2014, higher than the 60 million units of the iPhone 5 shipped in 2013, the sources indicated. Barring the occurrence of component shortages and low yield rates, shipments of the iPhone 6s should be able to reach 10 million units by the end of September and total 60-70 million in the fourth quarter, the sources estimated.
DigiTimes also listed some of the suppliers in the iPhone 6 chain. Those include: Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (A8 processors); Catcher Technology and Foxconn Technology (cases); Largan Precision and Genius Electronic Optical (camera modules); Foxconn Electronics and Pegatron (assembly); Simplo Technology (battery); and Delta Electronics (power supply). PCB makers Compeq manufacturing, Unimicron Technology, Zhen Ding Technology Holdings, and Flexium Interconnect, as well as IC packaging/testing companies Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE), King Yuan Electronics (KYEC) and Ardentec.

Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Newsletter, App Store, YouTube - Apple to Implement New Digital Queue System for iPhone 6 Launch Day

Apple is set to revamp its process for purchasing an iPhone on launch day, reports 9to5Mac.
Previously, customers who lined up to purchase a new device were given paper cards specifying the item they were planning to purchase. These cards helped stores keep track of quantities and when models were sold out. However, for the iPhone 6 launch, Apple is planning a virtual queue.
Apple will forgo the traditional paper cards and instead place customers in a virtual queue. This new system is called Reservation Pass. It will sync with Back Of House inventory information in realtime so Apple doesn’t handout too many product reservations. Customers will receive their digital reservation card via SMS or Email. A reservation allows the customer to come back at any point during the day to make their purchase. Customers could also leave line in the past but it was not encouraged since the physical card reservation system was not as accurate as the new Reservation Pass system.

Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Newsletter, App Store, YouTube - Apple's iWatch is Reversible for Left-Handed Users

The new Apple Watch can be inverted and worn on the right arm for left-handed users, reports BusinessInsider, who confirmed the feature with an Apple spokesperson.
After the announcement of the new Apple Watch, set to be released early in 2015, the internet was awash with rumors that the watch had a major design flaw in that it couldn’t be used by the 10% of the World’s population who are left-handed. Perhaps unsurprisingly, however, the Apple Watch can easily be inverted to allow lefties to use it on their right wrist.
When first setting up the Apple Watch you will be prompted to set the device up as a left-handed or right-handed user.
