Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Newsletter, App Store, YouTube - How to Access Flyover City Tours in iOS 8

It was reported that some have been able to unlock iOS 8 beta 2’s flyover city tour feature. As it turns out, the feature is already available in same beta 2 release that was seeded to developers last week.
To begin a flyover city tour, you must first be using Maps in Hybrid mode. If a city supports flyover tours, it will be labeled in yellow instead of white. Supported cities include: Rome, Stockholm, Barcelona, ??New York, Paris, Glasgow, Cape Town, Perth, Bordeaux and the Bay of San Francisco.
Once you click the yellow city label you will see the option for the flyover tour. The feature is currently available in the latest Yosemite and iOS 8 beta; however, currently you need to click the city to access it. Searching for cities will not give you the option. The fact that this UI is so hidden and no one has discovered it until now suggests that Apple will make some tweaks before iOS 8 is released to the public this fall.

Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Newsletter, App Store, YouTube - Using Unauthorized Lightning Cables and Chargers Could Damage Your iPhone

Using unauthorized Lightning cables and third party chargers could damage a component on the iPhone’s logic board called the U2 IC, reports menymyi. This IC controls the charge to the battery, runs the power to the sleep/wake button, controls the USB function and and regulates the charging to the power IC that charges the iPhone 5.
Symptoms of a damaged component include:
– Battery won’t charge beyond 1%
– iPhone automatically powers itself on
– when the battery is removed and the iPhone is placed on charge it does not boot to the Apple logo
– when the iPhone is put onto charge the screen stays blank and the iPhone remains lifelessAuthentic Apple equipment regulates voltage and current to a level that is safe for the components of your device. Charging with unauthorized chargers and cables may allow for a larger variance in voltage and current which then damages the U2 IC.

Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Newsletter, App Store, YouTube - Apple to Release 'Sports' and 'Designer' Models of the iWatch?

Apple will release a ‘Sports’ model and a ‘Designer’ model of its iWatch, reports PocketNow.
There is a “Sports” model, which apparently has a rectangular design and a rubber bracelet. This model was reportedly being tested recently by Kobe Bryant at the Apple campus, and what’s most interesting is that it apparently looks like any other watch on the market. The report also mentions that there is a “Designer” variant of the iWatch which has a circular design and a metallic construction that’s most probably stainless steel. This model is reportedly being tested by Dustin Brown and Bubba Watson, and just like the Sports model, it’s hard to tell this watch apart from any other watch on the market.
Both models are said to feature a touch screen and be water resistant. The Sports model is said to have a compass and sensors to determine blood pressure, heart rate, body temperature, outside temperature, barometric pressure, and blood oxygen levels.

Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Newsletter, App Store, YouTube - Leaked LCD Backlight Panel for the 5.5-Inch iPhone 6? [Photos]

An LCD backlight panel for the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 has been leaked by Sonny Dickson via 9to5Mac.
The photos show the display attached to a ruler that indicates a screen with a diagonal measurement of approximately 14cm. That 14cm converts to the 5.5-inches heavily rumored for the next-generation Apple smartphone. While these photos do not provide us with any breakthrough information about the new iPhone, the photos, at best, do show that Apple is already producing components for the larger sized phone and this means that production is likely nearing.
Jimmy Lin, a Taiwanese media star and race car driver, posted a photo recently of what is allegedly the 5.5-inch iPhone 6.
