- iOS 8 Beta Successfully Jailbroken!

After initial signs pointed towards a good chance that iOS 8 was jailbreakable, Stefan Esser (i0n1c), tweeted an image that shows off the ability to SSH into an iPod touch running iOS 8 from his Mac.
I just leave this here …
I0n1c demoed his jailbreak of iOS 7.1.1 last month. He has yet to confirm whether he will release a public jailbreak; however, it would make logical sense to wait until iOS 8 is officially released so as to not burn any exploits.

Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Newsletter, App Store, YouTube - Apple Shifts Its TV Advertisements In-House

According to a report from Bloomberg, Apple will begin creating its TV Ads In-house, rather than relying on advertising agency TBWAChiatDay. Apple has relied on TBWAChiatDay for over 30 years now, and it was even involved in the company’s iconic ‘1984’ ad.
Apple has already had its in-house team create the iPad Air ad comparing the device’s thickness to a pencil, and has been responsible for other ads that have aired this year. Apple’s own team features a couple hires from ChiatDay, and Tyler Whisnand, who is the lead of Apple’s creative team, according to the people familiar with the companies. Apple also hired music director David Taylor back in January.
An Apple team made the iPad Air ad last year that highlighted the device’s thinness, as well as a spot this year with Robin Williams quoting from the film “Dead Poets Society” and other ads airing now, said Amy Bessette, a spokeswoman for Apple. The internal team includes at least two people Apple hired away from Media Arts Lab, a TBWA unit that only serves the iPhone maker, people with knowledge of the matter said.

HealthKit is an Australian startup platform that connects doctors and patients in a similar way that Apple plans to do so in iOS 8. The company tweeted that it was ‘feeling annoyed’ after the news broke that Apple would be using the HealthKit name. The company followed that tweet by saying “Apple likes our #HealthKit name and so do we!”
“It is very flattering that they like our name, but I’m a little let down because how hard would it have been to spend five seconds to put HealthKit.com into their browser and find us?” Alison Hardacre, co-founder and managing director of HealthKit told WIRED. “Everybody worries that Google or Apple will come into their space and their business will die, but no one thinks that company will come into that space and use the same name!”
