Following the recent trial versus Samsung in which Apple was awarded $119.6 million in damages, Apple is now requesting additional liability findings, a tripling of the largest part of the damages award, a permanent injunction, and a complete damages retrial, reports Foss Patents.
Late Friday, Apple filed a motion for a U.S. permanent injunction against Samsung with respect to the three patents Samsung was found infringing on. The injunction would constitute a U.S. sales ban of the devices addressed at trial and any “software or code capable of implementing any Infringing Feature, and/or any feature not more than colorably different therefrom.”
In addition to the injunction request, Apple is asking Judge Koh for a complete damages retrial.

The company detailed the reason for the update in a blog post:
A couple weeks ago Twitter’s Platform Operations group contacted us and asked us to make a small change to the way Tweetbot communicates with the Twitter API. This change will have no affect on the way Tweetbot works, however two things will occur once this change goes live. All versions of Tweetbot prior to 2.8.8 or 3.2.2 will stop working and you may need to log into your account again. So make sure you are running the latest versions of the app and be prepared to authenticate your account once more. We will be coordinating with Twitter to make the final change on May 29th at 10 A.M. PST. Stay up to date via our @tweetbot account. Thanks for your continued support!

Supply chain sources cited by the Chinese media say that Apple will switch to using a ‘Touch-On Display’ based on ‘On-Cell’ technology for the iPhone 6, reports GforGames.
The main difference between on-cell and in-cell is the fact that the former technology allows manufacturers to move the touch layer into the outer glass (such as the protective Gorilla Glass / Sapphire layer). According to the source, this allows manufacturers to create higher quality displays (faster screen response, no smear, no jitter, better color reproduction and so on).
Electronic Design notes that on-cell technology not only simplifies construction and reduces costs, but delivers better optical qualities because there are fewer layers. “The reduction in the number of layers also reduces parallax errors providing a superior touch interface. Fewer layers also means backlight intensity can be reduced while providing the same brightness level.”
