F.lux, developers of the app that makes your display adapt to the time of day, has issued a statement following Apple’s unveiling of Night Shift. Samsung is planning to unveil a feature similar to Apple’s Live Photos for the Galaxy S7, reports AndroidGeeks.A source tells the site that the feature is still in development. Although Samsung is planning to launch it with the Galaxy S7, it could arrive in a later software update. The feature has been called by various names from Timeless Photo to Vivid Photo, a combination between ‘vivid memory’ and ‘photo’.Unlike Live Photos, Samsung’s Vivid Photo apparently does not capture sound. Samsung is planning to invest up to $7.47 billion in order to supply Apple with flexible OLED panels for future generation iPhones, reports ETNews. A contract with Apple has ‘practically’ been decided in which Samsung will supply most of Apple’s panel demand.Samsung Display has decided on the size of investment to extend current facilities with Apple and will receive orders from Apple starting from end of 1st quarter at the earliest. It is heard that size of investments this year will be at least 30,000 sheets per month to 45,000 sheets per month. A plan to invest additional 45,000 sheets per month in 2017 is also included in this contract.The contract apparently indicates that Samsung will invest between $2.49 billion and $3.32 billion in plant and equipment this year. If 45,000 sheets are added in 2017, it will increase that investment to $6.64 to $7.47 billion. Apple has updated Messages for Mac with support for Live Photos in OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 beta. The first beta of 10.11.4 was just seeded to developers on Monday.When receiving a Live Photo in Messages for Mac, you’ll notice an icon at the top right hand corner denoting it as a Live Photo.
