Apple Watch Reservations for In-Store Pickup Will Be Limited to One Per Customer

Apple Watch reservations for in-store pickup will be limited to one per customers, according to information obtained by MacRumors. You will need to provide valid government-issued photo ID when arriving at the Apple Store for pickup. Also the person named on the reservation must be the one picking up the order. “Inventory is subject to change. Your reservation is valid for pickup only at the Apple Retail Store that you selected. If you do not pick up your selected item(s) by the designated date and time, your reservation will be cancelled and your item(s) will be returned to stock. There is a maximum of 1 reservation per customer. Number of reservations may be limited. Apple reserves the right to refuse, limit or cancel a reservation if Apple determines that a customer has provided misleading or fraudulent information and/or abused, disrupted or attempted to circumvent the reservation system.”Apple was planning to allow two reservations per customer up until last month but sources say that due to limited stock that was changed to one per customer. It’s possible that if the company is able to secure more launch day stock that the number could be bumped back up before launch.Share Article:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Email,   Reddit,   Digg,   Delicious,   StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Newsletter,   App Store,   YouTubeAdvertise Here

Apple Reportedly Acquired Ottocat to Power the App Store ‘Explore’ Tab

Apple acquired a company called Ottocat to power the ‘Explore’ tab in the App Store, reports TechCrunch. There is precious little evidence of the connection between Ottocat and Apple — no LinkedIn employment changes, no announcements to Ottocat users — save for one thing. One of Ottocat’s co-founders, Edwin Cooper, authored a patent that was granted to Apple as the original assignee. It looks like that patent was filed by Cooper as an employee of Apple. That patent, for a “System and Method for Divisive Textual Clustering by Label Selection Using Variant-Weighted TFIDF,” pertains to the kind of technology used both by Ottocat and Apple’s explore feature.TechCrunch believes the acquisition happened some time in 2013. In October 2013 the company’s site went down with a message that read: “Ottocat is no longer available.” Ottocat had only been in public beta for a couple months.Share Article:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Email,   Reddit,   Digg,   Delicious,   StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Newsletter,   App Store,   YouTubeAdvertise Here
