Apple Watch will Reportedly Be Available in Apple Retail Stores by June

During Tim Cook’s recent visit to China, the CEO of Apple met with employees at Apple’s China headquarters to discuss China-focused announcements, as well as other tidbits regarding the Apple Watch and Apple Pay.As shared by 9to5mac, Tim Cook began by telling the employees that “the Watch could not be going better, we’re working really hard on making more.” Cook promised that Apple Store will begin carrying the Apple Watch “by June” — corroborating the leaked message from Angela Ahrendts in April. The Apple Watch was one of the first Apple product launches that consisted of an online-only launch; however, Ahrendts assured employees that this was a unique situation (most likely to due supply constraints) that prevented an in-store product launch. TomTom Extends Agreement with Apple to Provide Data for Maps

TomTom announced today that it has extended its agreement with Apple to provide mapping data for Apple Maps. No other specifics or financials of the deal were disclosed.TomTom begin its partnership with Apple in 2012 when Apple Maps was launched with iOS 6. A year later, Apple brought Maps to OS X. While TomTom provides most street-level data for maps, Apple sources data from other companies like Yelp and Booking.com for points-of-interest (POI) data. Many analysts believe the agreement heavily favors TomTom since they’re able to work with such a large US company like Apple. While Apple Maps had a shaky release with iOS 6, Apple has been making weekly updates to street data and POI data to improve the applications accuracy and usability. It was rumored that Apple would make several improvements with iOS 8 to the Maps application, including the addition of transit directions, improved POI data, and much more. Unfortunately, poor project management delayed those improvements. Apple also mysteriously operates a fleet of minivans, which could be related to mapping improvements or its rumored car project. Apple is among over 140 companies and organizations who have sent a letter to President Obama urging him to reject any proposal that weakens the security of devices such as the iPhone. The letter follows statements by FBI Director James B. Comey accusing Apple and other companies of marketing “something expressly to allow people to place themselves beyond the law.” The DOJ has reportedly gone as far as telling Apple that the encryption on its iPhones will lead to the death of a child. Tim Cook emphasized the importance of securing user data at the White House Cybersecurity Summit; however, it appears as though law enforcement officials are still pushing for companyies to be forced to reduce the security of their devices.Share Article:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Email,   Reddit,   Digg,   Delicious,   StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Newsletter,   App Store,   YouTubeAdvertise Here

Finally, the new Automatic has dual Bluetooth capabilities so third party apps can stream data from the car’s onboard computer in real time.Share Article:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Email,   Reddit,   Digg,   Delicious,   StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Newsletter,   App Store,   YouTubeAdvertise Here
