Foxconn Looks to Build iPhone Assembly Plant in India

Foxconn is in talks to build its first iPhone assembly plant in India, government officials tell Reuters.India could help Foxconn mitigate accelerating wage inflation in China, where it makes the majority of iPhones, and base production sites closer to markets where its key clients want to grow. Lower production costs could also help Foxconn keep hold of Apple orders amid intensifying competition with nimble manufacturing rivals such as Quanta Computer Inc.”Foxconn is sending a delegation of their officers to scout for locations in a month’s time,” says Subhash Desai, the Industries Minister of India’s western state Maharashtra.Share Article:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Email,   Reddit,   Digg,   Delicious,   StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Newsletter,   App Store,   YouTubeAdvertise Here

Xcode 7 Enables Developers to ‘Sideload’ iOS Apps For Free

Xcode 7 allows developers to build and load iOS apps to their devices for free, without requiring a $99 developer program membership. To distribute your apps through the App Store, you still need the membership, but developers can finally test their apps on their devices without a membership.Apple’s move to let users ‘side load’ applications does have some interesting implications. First, developers can now distribute their own open-sourced apps outside of the App Store. Second, this enables easy piracy of apps that are decrypted. A user could download a decrypted app and load it on their device through Xcode, without requiring a developer membership. All apps are also supported (Objective C, Swift, etc).Developers still have to deal with UDIDs, provisioning profiles, and code signing, but Xcode will automatically set everything up for you. Essentially, a developer membership is now only required if you want to distribute your apps through the App Store, or if you want access to the latest iOS and OS X betas. iOS 9 Brings Support for Continuity Over Cellular

Apple is bringing support for Continuity over Cellular with iOS 9 and is already working with T-Mobile to make the feature available to developers on iOS 9 beta.Continuity lets you receive and make calls on your Mac and iPad via your iPhone. Previously the feature required your devices to be on the same Wi-Fi network; however, today T-Mobile revealed that Continuity support has been added to its cellular network, letting a Mac or iPad receive an iPhone’s call even if it isn’t on the same Wi-Fi network. “T-Mobile customers will be able to answer that important text message or call on your Mac or iPad even if you left your phone at home,” says T-Mobile, so “you can leave your phone on your desk and just take your tablet or your Mac to your meeting and never worry about missing anything.” Share Article:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Email,   Reddit,   Digg,   Delicious,   StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Newsletter,   App Store,   YouTubeAdvertise Here
