U.S. watch sales fell 14% in June, the most in seven years, in what may be the first sign that Apple is eroding demand for traditional timepieces, reports Bloomberg.Retailers sold $375 million of watches during the month, 11 percent less than in June 2014, according to data from NPD Group. Foxconn has signed a deal with India’s Maharashtra state to invest $ billion over five years on a new electronics manufacturing facility, reports Re/code.The announcement was made by Foxconn founder Terry Gou and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis after the signing of an accord in the state capital Mumbai. The European Commission has been unable to find evidence that Apple colluded with music labels to end free music streaming services, reports Re/code.Investigators examined whether the labels conspired with one another or with Apple on Apple’s new streaming music service in a way that would hurt rivals. The probe failed to turn up any illegal activity, though the EU will continue to monitor the market, sources said.EU regulators sent questionnaires to major labels before the launch of Apple Music, asking for details about their licensing discussions with Apple. Apple is planning to hold its iPhone 6s event on September 9th, unveiling a new Apple TV as its ‘ne more thing’, reports John Paczkowski for BuzzFeed.Sources familiar with Apple’s plans tell BuzzFeed News the company intends to hold a special event the week of Sept. 7, with Wednesday the 9th being the most likely date.
