Apple has published an updated Diversity report for 2015 noting that in the past 12 months the company has hired more diverse candidates than in any other year to date. Apple hires were 35% Women (Global), 19% Asian (U.S.), 13% Hispanic (U.S.), and 11% Black (U.S.).Currently, Apple is 69% male and 31% female, a slight change from 70% male and 30% female last year.Apple CEO Tim Cook also posted an open message revealing that in the past year the company hired over 11,000 women globally, which is 65 percent more than in the previous year, more than 2,200 Black employees, a 50 percent increase over last year, and 2,700 Hispanic employees, a 66 percent increase.
