Apple Not Planning to Release Next-Generation iPad Air This Year?

Apple is not planning to release an iPad Air 3 this year, according to a new report from DigiTimes. Instead the company will focus on the iPad mini and perhaps the rumored iPad Pro.The sources pointed out that Apple has turned conservative about its tablet product line and is not planning to release a next-generation model to replace the existing iPad Air tablet; however, Apple is ready to release its fourth-generation iPad mini and the related supply chain is already preparing the device’s components. Apple Looks to Test Self-Driving Car at Former Naval Base

Apple is reportedly scouting its locations to test a self-driving car, indicating that Project Titan might be further along than expected, reports The Guardian.In May, engineers from Apple’s secretive Special Project group met with officials from GoMentum Station, a 2,100-acre former naval base near San Francisco that is being turned into a high-security testing ground for autonomous vehicles. Siri Saves Teen’s Life After Truck Falls on Him

An 18-year-old from Murfreesboro, Tennessee may owe his life to Siri, reports FOX17.The teen was working under his truck when it fell on him, trapping his arms. Alone he tried to yell for help but nobody heard his cries. Then the teen heard the familiar Siri activation coming from the iPhone in his back pocket. He was able to “push up on his hip” to activate Siri and call 911. Apple’s Live TV Service Delayed to 2016?

Apple’s negotiations with networks for a live TV service have been progressing slowing, delaying its expected launch to 2016, reports Bloomberg.The company wanted to introduce this year a live TV service delivered via the Internet, but is now aiming for 2016, said people familiar with Apple’s plans. Talks to license programming from TV networks such as those owned by CBS Corp. and 21st Century Fox Inc. are progressing slowly, some of the people said.
