Apple Pay Transaction Limit Increased to £30 in the U.K.

The transaction limit for contactless payments including Apple Pay has increased to £30 in the U.K., reports The U.K. Cards Association.From today (Tuesday, September 2015) the upper limit for contactless payments increases to £30. Payment terminals are being updated to accept the new limit from today (TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2015) and over a number of weeks to ensure national coverage.The association says contactless spending has risen from £287 million per month in January 2015 to £567 million in June 2015. Updated Aerial Photo Shows Construction Progress on Apple Campus 2

Apple has shared an updated aerial photo of the construction progress on Apple Campus 2. The photo was posted to the City of Cupertino’s website.In addition to the main spaceship like building, plans were recently spotted for a visitor center which features a rooftop observation deck. The plans revealed a modern glass-walled structure featuring a carbon-fiber roof with extended eaves and large skylights. Inside there will be a 2386 sq ft cafe and a 10,114 sq ft store. Stairs and elevators go to the roof level about 23 feet up where visitors can view new campus.Apple is planning to complete its construction by the end of 2016. Apple Explores Producing Original Programming to Compete With Netflix, Amazon

Apple has been exploring the possibility of creating original programming, similar to efforts by Netflix and Amazon, reports Variety.The company has held preliminary conversations with Hollywood executives to determine their interest in leading efforts to product entertainment content. The unit inquiring reports to Eddy Cue.The scale of Apple’s ambitions vary depending on whom is asked, but one high-level executive who talked with the company said the goal is to create development and production divisions that would churn out long-form content to stream in a bid to compete with Netflix. Apple is hoping to put a headhunting firm on those hires in the coming months, according to source, with the goal of being in operation next year. KeyRaider Malware Has Stolen Over 225,000 Apple Accounts From Jailbroken iOS Devices

Palo Alto Networks has identified a new iOS malware family dubbed ‘KeyRaider’ which has stolen over 225,000 valid Apple accounts with passwords from jailbroken devices. With help from WeipTech, the company found 92 samples of malware responsible for may be the largest theft of Apple accounts caused by malware.KeyRaider is distributed through third-party Cydia repositories, primarily in China. It hooks system processes through MobileSubstrate and steals Apple account usernames, passwords and device GUIDs by intercepting iTunes traffic.
