Japan Display’s new CEO hinted at strong orders for the iPhone 6s on Thursday, reports Reuters. Mitsuru Homma, who became CEO in June, said that its “biggest client” is increasing orders.Homma said weakness in China’s smartphone market, the world’s biggest, amid that country’s broader economic slowdown was not affecting the orders for display screens it was getting from its top client.”They’re coming to us with more orders, saying ‘give us more, give us more’. They keep increasing,” he told Reuters in an interview.Share Article:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Email,   Reddit,   Digg,   Delicious,   StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Newsletter,   App Store,   YouTubeAdvertise Here

iPhone 6s to Feature 5MP Front Camera, No Sapphire Cover Lens on Rear Camera?

A new report from KGI detailing expectations for the iPhone 6s predicts that the device will feature a 5MP front camera. The report also suggests that the rear camera may not have a sapphire cover lens. Aside from upgrading rear camera module to 12MP, Apple will upgrade front camera module to 5MP […] The new iPhone may not be equipped with sapphire cover lens, as it still has quality issues on the drop test.Although sapphire is much more scratch-resistant than Gorilla Glass, it is more brittle, and thus at greater risk of shattering when dropped.Share Article:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Email,   Reddit,   Digg,   Delicious,   StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Newsletter,   App Store,   YouTubeAdvertise Here

Judge Grants Final Approval to Settlement in Anti-Poaching Lawsuit Brought Against Apple, Others

U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh has granted final approval to a $415 million settlement in a class action lawsuit brought against Apple, Google, Intel, and Adobe. The companies are accused of agreeing not to poach each other’s employees, limiting job mobility and salaries.Attorneys in the case had asked for $81 million in fees; however, Koh said the amount would be an inappropriate “windfall” and awarded them about $40 million. The class action lawsuit was filed back in 2011 and was based around emails in which Steve Jobs and Eric Schmidt detailed plans to avoid poaching each others engineers.Share Article:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Email,   Reddit,   Digg,   Delicious,   StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Newsletter,   App Store,   YouTubeAdvertise Here
