Reviews of OS X El Capitan 10.11 have hit the web ahead of its release tomorrow. Here’s some highlights…Verge:There was a time when the only part of your Mac that knew anything about your iPhone was the worst part of your Mac: iTunes. Now, the whole damn thing is infused with software that dynamically and intelligently talks to it, and vice versa. And if the software isn’t talking directly to the iPhone, it’s taking interaction cues from it that you already learned and can use again. That’s powerful. And it’s going to help a lot of people do a lot more with their computers.Share Article:Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Email, Reddit, Digg, Delicious, StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Newsletter, App Store, YouTubeAdvertise Here

Chipworks has confirmed that Apple is using two different A9 application processors for the iPhone 6s. While it was speculated that the A9 and A9X would be sourced from Samsung and TSMC, respectively, the company found that the Apple is also sourcing the A9 processor from both companies as well.As pictured below, there is a difference in the die size for the APL0898 (Samsung) and the APL1022 (TSMC). From a benchmarking point of view, the smaller die size shows a leadership in technology scaling for Samsung. On the other hand, for Apple to go through all the trouble of dual-sourcing a custom designed part and launching on day one with both parts, suggests major sourcing problems.Chipworks says its analysis is ongoing as they continue decapsulation and cross-sectioning to see who made what. We’ll let you know as further details are revealed. Apple is not expected to unveil a new Apple Watch until mid-2016 at the earliest, according to Cowen and Company. Following a tour of Asian suppliers, the investment firm says the new device will likely feature a thinner size and better performance. The Cowen forecast calls for Apple to ship 18 million Watches by the end of 2015, but at least 45 million in 2016, added analyst Timothy Arcuri. Figures for next year may actually be too pessimistic based on the strength of 2015 data, he suggested. The first generation Apple Watch shipped April 24th so Cowen’s predictions would have it coming a few months later.Share Article:Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Email, Reddit, Digg, Delicious, StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Newsletter, App Store, YouTubeAdvertise Here
