Sam’s Club Begins Accepting iPad Pro Pre-orders with November 13 Release Date

Sam’s Club has started accepting pre-orders for Apple’s upcoming iPad Pro and has listed a release date of Friday, November 13. The warehouse chain sent out an email this morning to members promoting the new device.Members of Sam’s Club can pre-order the iPad Pro in 32gb or 128gb Wi-Fi variants, but it does not look like the Wi-Fi + Cellular model is for sale. Sam’s Club is also selling the iPad Pro at a slight discount, offering the device for $787 ($799 at Apple) for the 32GB model and $937 ($949 at Apple) for the 128GB model. Interestingly enough, the November 13 release date that is cited in Sam’s Club pre-order is different than the November 11 date that was previously reported. November 13 does make sense since Apple typically releases products on Fridays and November 11 is a holiday (Veteran’s Day) in the United States. Some iPhone and iPad Users Are Having Touch ID Problems With iOS 9.1

Apple’s release of iOS 9.1 may have introduced a Touch ID problem for some iPhone and iPad users, reports Forbes. The site took notice of numerous support threads (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) on Apple’s Support Communities complaining of problems with fingerprint recognition.The complaints are similar: users running iOS 9.1 find Touch ID either refuses to recognise a user’s fingerprint, has become highly unreliable or doesn’t even register a fingerprint pressed against it. TSMC to be Exclusive Manufacturer of A10 Processor for iPhone 7?

TSMC is again predicted to be the exclusive manufacturer of Apple’s A10 processor for the iPhone 7. CTIMES News relays a report from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo:Guo Ming-qi stated that the next-generation iPhones — presumably an iPhone 7 and 7 Plus production will begin in the third quarter next year. And its A10 processor is using a 16-nanometer process, the chip is said to use the company’s state-of-the-art InFO (integrated fan out) architecture, said to be mass-produced in March, 2016 offering advantages such as cutting costs and streamlining manufacturing. Bethesda Releases Fallout Pip-Boy App for iOS

Bethesda has released a Fallout Pip-Boy companion app for iOS ahead of the release of Fallout 4 next week.Fallout 4 is set in post-apocalyptic Boston, 200 years after a nuclear war. The player emerges from an underground bunker known as a Vault and must complete quests and acquire experience to level up and gain new abilities. Fallout 4’s open world can be explored from a first or third person point of view and players can construct settlements that can be inhabited by non-playable characters.In the game, the Pip-Boy 3000 Mark IV is a pre-War Personal Information Processor (PIP) manufactured by RobCo Industries. It acts as a database for the character’s personal information and inventory. Using the new Fallout Pip-Boy app, players can interact with Fallout 4 on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or PC. HTC is Kicking Apples in Its New Ad [Video]

HTC has a new ad that is reminiscent of Apple’s 1984 ad, for its new phone that looks a lot like Apple’s iPhone.The video attempts to convey a homogenous world where everything is the same and is urging the audience to be different. The tag line for the ad is ‘Be Different. Be Loud. Be Inspired. Be Free. Be Brilliant.’ In one scene of the commercial, the protagonist of the video runs across the table and purposefully kicks a bowl of real Apples, which impresses a girl sitting nearby (for whatever reason). Apple Places LCD Driver IC Orders for iPhone 7 With Synaptics

Apple has placed LCD driver IC orders for the iPhone 7 with Synaptics, indicating that its own in-house touch and display driver integration (TDDI) solution will not be ready, reports DigiTimes.The development of Apple’s in-house developed TDDI solutions has fallen behind schedule, as the smartphone vendor has released orders for its 2016 models to Synaptics, said the sources. The preview is streamed from either Apple Music or Spotify (depending on the source of the link shared), and can be purchased from or saved to the respective music streaming service.The previews from Apple Music and iTunes are available directly through Facebook.
