Apple is planning to hold an event in March at which the company will unveil the second generation Apple Watch and possibly a 4-inch iPhone, according to 9to5Mac sources. The new Apple Watch would ship by April, about a year after the original model shipped. Apple is quietly working on a major expansion of its Elk Grove campus in Sacramento County, California, reports bizjournals. City officials say the expansion could mean several thousand new jobs.The company is converting a 134,000-square-foot warehouse into a logistics operation. That move, along with addition of 1,450 parking spaces beginning last summer, points to many more employees, said Darrell Doan, the city’s economic development director.Apple is spending at least $13 million on improving the facility, adding medical and dental facilities, a massage room, exercise room and yoga studio. These are amenities that tech companies often use to attract talent and keep employees happy.
