Apple is Unlikely to Include Noise-Cancelling Headphones With the iPhone 7 [Report]

Apple is unlikely to include its rumored noise-cancelling headphones with the iPhone 7, according to a Barclays analyst note relayed by Business Insider. It’s widely been rumored that Apple plans to ditch the traditional headphones jack on its upcoming smartphone and instead allow users to connect headphones using the Lightning port. Additionally, the company is said to be working on a special noise-cancelling microphone system which will enable clearer phone calls and communication with Siri.Analysts Blayne Curtis and Christopher Hemmelgarn say Apple will include a pair of Lightning headphones with the iPhone 7 but won’t purchase Cirrus’ noise-cancelling technology for in-box headphones until the iPhone 7S.Share Article:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Email,   Reddit,   Digg,   Delicious,   StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Newsletter,   App Store,   YouTubeAdvertise Here

ASICS Acquires Runkeeper App

Runkeeper has announced that they’ve entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by ASICS. Jason Jacobs, founder of Runkeeper, posted about the acquisition on Medium. When we look ahead, it seems clear that the fitness brands of the future will not just make physical products, but will be embedded in the consumer journey in ways that will help keep people motivated and maximize their enjoyment of sport. By putting these two pieces together (digital fitness platform and world class physical products), you can build a new kind of fitness brand that has a deeper, more trusted relationship with consumers and can engage with them in a more personalized way.Partnering with ASICS to fulfill this vision together makes a ton of sense. We both have deep roots in and focus on running as a core component of the fitness experience. There is strong alignment between our brands and core values. AT&T to Begin Field Trials of 5G This Year With Speeds 10-100X Faster Than 4G LTE

AT&T has announced that it will begin field trials of 5G this year in collaboration with Ericsson and Intel. The company plans to work on 5G solutions in the lab starting in Q2 and perform outdoor tests over the summer. Field trials to deliver 5G to fixed locations in Austin will begin before the end of the year.We expect 5G to deliver speeds 10-100 times faster than today’s average 4G LTE connections. Customers will see speeds measured in gigabits per second, not megabits. For reference, at one gigabit per second, you can download a TV show in less than 3 seconds. Customers will also see much lower latency with 5G. Latency, for example, is how long it takes after you press play on a video app for the video to start streaming on your device. We expect 5G latency in the range of 1 to 5 milliseconds.“New experiences like virtual reality, self-driving cars, robotics, smart cities and more are about to test networks like never before,” said John Donovan, Chief Strategy Officer and Group President, AT&T Technology and Operations. “These technologies will be immersive, pervasive and responsive to customers. 5G will help make them a reality. 5G will reach its full potential because we will build it on a software-centric architecture that can adapt quickly to new demands and give customers more control of their network services. Our approach is simple – deliver a unified experience built with 5G, software-defined networking (SDN), Big Data, security and open source software.”Share Article:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Email,   Reddit,   Digg,   Delicious,   StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Newsletter,   App Store,   YouTubeAdvertise Here

WARNING: Setting Your iPhone’s Date to January 1, 1970 Will Brick Your Device!! [Video]

Setting the date of your iPhone to January 1st, 1970 will brick your device, according to users across the web and confirmed by iClarified. The bug will affect any 64-bit iOS device that is powered by the A7, A8, A8X, A9, and A9X. 32-bit iOS devices are reportedly not affected by this issue. Once your date has been set to January 1st, 1970, the bug will prevent your iOS device from booting. Due to the limited scroller, the date needs to be set back multiple times until it reaches the year 1970. Since a DFU or recovery mode restore will not unbrick your device, we strongly recommend that you do not try to test this bug. Users report that while a restore may succeed, the device will still fail to boot after the restore. So far it seems the only way to fix this issue is through a physical repair by Apple’s Genius Bar. In order to reset the date, you must physically disconnect the battery from the logic board and reconnect it back. The bug is suspected to be related to the UNIX timestamp epoch. Due to time-zone settings, the date is causing a bit-underflow, which crashes the kernel.
