Apple to Unveil 20 – 40% Thinner Apple Watch at WWDC in June?

Apple is preparing to unveil a 20 – 40% thinner Apple Watch as early WWDC in June, according Brian White, an analyst at Drexel Hamilton. The analyst is currently on a Chinese tech tour.We walked away with the sense that the Apple Watch refresh will not occur in September with the iPhone 7, but is more likely to occur within the next 2-3 months, and thus we believe an unveiling at WWDC in June makes sense. We believe Apple Watch 2 could be 20-40% thinner than the current Apple Watch. That timing lines up with a previous report which said Apple’s second generation Apple Watch would enter mass production in the second quarter of 2016. Quanta Computer will reportedly be the sole manufacturer of the device.Share Article:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Email,   Reddit,   Digg,   Delicious,   StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Newsletter,   App Store,   YouTubeAdvertise Here

Microsoft Releases ‘Hub Keyboard’ for iPhone

Microsoft has released a ‘Hub Keyboard’ for the iPhone. A Microsoft Garage project, Hub Keyboard lets you easily copy and paste recent items, search and share documents, and share contact information.“Personally I don’t like switching between apps to do different things on my smartphone,” says Steve Won, a senior designer on the Office team who came up with the idea for Hub Keyboard about a year ago. “But all these different apps on a smartphone, they have to conform to rules of a keyboard and that got me thinking about the project as an interesting idea I wanted to explore more. We’re giving users a wider gamut of tools.”Share Article:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Email,   Reddit,   Digg,   Delicious,   StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Newsletter,   App Store,   YouTubeAdvertise Here

Google Considers Swift Programming Language for Android

Google is considering making Swift a ‘first class’ language for Android, reports TNW. Sources say that representatives from Google, Facebook, and Uber recently met in London to discuss the language.Google’s Android operating system currently supports Java as its first-class language, and sources say Swift is not meant to replace Java, at least initially. While the ongoing litigation with Oracle is likely cause for concern, sources say Google considers Swift to have a broader “upside” than Java.If Google were to support Swift for Android, it would need to create a runtime for the language. Additionally, its whole library would need to be made Swift ready. Some low level Android APIs are C++ which Swift can’t bridge to. They would have to be rewritten. Also, some higher level APIs in Java would need to be rewritten.Share Article:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Email,   Reddit,   Digg,   Delicious,   StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Newsletter,   App Store,   YouTubeAdvertise Here

FBI Purchased ‘A Tool’ to Unlock iPhones, Doesn’t Work on Newer Devices

FBI Director James Comey has revealed that the government had purchased ‘a tool’ from a private party to unlock the iPhone used by one of the San Bernardino shooters, reports CNN. At this time, it’s unclear if the data gleaned from the device is useful.”Litigation between the government and Apple over the San Bernardino phone has ended, because the government has purchased, from a private party, a way to get into that phone, 5C, running iOS 9,” Comey said. It’s likely that Israeli forensics company Cellebrite was the source of the tool.Share Article:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Email,   Reddit,   Digg,   Delicious,   StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Newsletter,   App Store,   YouTubeAdvertise Here
