Apple Watch shipments are predicted to fall 25% this year despite the launch of a new Apple Watch 2 model, reports KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.Last year Apple sold about 10.6 million units of its wearable in eight months; however, Kuo says that even with the launch of a new model and twelve months of sales, shipments will only reach about 7.5 million units in 2016.Kuo blames an “immature wearable device market” and several device shortcomings (dependency on iPhone, no killer app, poor battery life, etc) for the sales decline. OSSIC X is the world’s first 3D audio headphone that instantly calibrates to you, increasing your sense of auditory space, and acoustically recreating the way you hear the world everyday. Developed by OSSIC in San Diego, California, the OSSIC X headphone automatically measures the size of your head and shape of your ears. Using an adaptive algorithm it customizes audio playback for whomever is wearing the headphones. There are four drivers in each ear that can beam sound around your ear, allowing for accurate placement of sound within the 3D sphere around you. Combined with head tracking, sounds appear to come from outside your head and stay fixed in space, enabling a higher sense of acoustic presence.Share Article:Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Email, Reddit, Digg, Delicious, StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Newsletter, App Store, YouTubeAdvertise Here

Apple has filed a patent for a Force Touch keyboard with no keys entitled, ‘ CONFIGURABLE FORCE-SENSITIVE INPUT STRUCTURE FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICES’.Apple notes that conventional keyboards are susceptible to damage. For example, debris and other contaminants may enter the casing through the keycap apertures and damage the internal components of the MacBook. Also, the mechanical structures of the keyboard are vulnerable to a drop or mechanical shock. One solution detailed by Apple involves a force-sensitive ‘zero travel’ input structure. The term “zero travel” doesn’t mean an absence of movement, but rather an imperceptible or unrecognizable movement of components. Components of the input structure may deform to provide an input but the deformation of these components may not be perceived, felt or detected by the user.Share Article:Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Email, Reddit, Digg, Delicious, StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Newsletter, App Store, YouTubeAdvertise Here
