Happen to you?
Ever drive home thinking all the way home that you need to do something? Your at the mail box, you still remember what you needed to do. Then you get to the front door and your like “I’m going to do that right now.” Then the next day at work your wondering how you forgot to do it? Then you realize, I even text messages my self a reminder two days ago about the same thing?
Made the switch Windows -> MacBook Pro
I made the switch. I’ve welcomed myself back in to the Mac world. Well this is my first Mac, but not Apple. I still have a Apple IIE hidden in my mothers closet. Waiting to sell it for a million in 20 more years. I picked up the 15in MacBook Pro last Sunday. I’m been extremely impressed. I’ve been a die hard Windows user since 3.11, except for when in Highschool and the newspaper used PageMaker on the Mac Classics.
Only thing my Windows PC is going to be now is a backup file & printer server. Well, and I have some sites for work that mut be accessed via IE on occasion.(dam programers) I’m having a good time importing all my music & files. Also the Mac did an excellent job with a few World of Warcraft tests. 🙂
I have a few things I want to learn how to do, one will be learning how to make iPhone apps. I took programing in school & have a good understanding of VB, HTML, ASP & PHP. I’m currently downloading the 2.9 gb SDK. I have a few ideas for apps and i’m going to explore the ideal of getting back in to programing. I’m looking at the free apple workshops to mingle with the mac world.

The best first step for a new manager…
| So many people want to be a manager not so they can lead but so that they can be the “boss”, never understanding that there is more to just managing people. Often because they have never had a properly trained or experienced manager themselves. I strongly suggest reading “The One Minute Manager” if you are a new or experienced manager of people. It will truly help you with understanding how to manage people, friends, and family. And after you have read this book I suggest following it up with the rest of the series, particularity “Putting the One Minute Manager to Work”, Besides, whats the point of reading management books if you never pick a system to put in to practice. This one is proven to work for many companies. Be sure to first start with the first book titled “The One Minute Manager”- The Guru The One Minute Manager – The World’s Most Popular Management Method
That’s why The One Minute Manager® book has The One Minute Manager reveals three fundamental concepts:
A book of timeless truths that started a management revolution! 13 |

Startup Applications List – MSCONFIG
If you’re frustrated with the time it takes your Windows PC to boot and then it seems to be running slowly you may have too many programs running at start-up – check out this site. This is the original startup programs (as opposed to processes/tasks) list – one of the most comprehensive and most accurate!
As there are more than 10,000 entries in this database related to viruses, trojans, worms and other malware I recommend you use a quality internet security package. Which ever you choose, keep it updated.
NOTE: This is NOT a database of tasks/processes taken from Task Manager or the Close Program window (CTRL+ALT+DEL) but a database of startup applications.
Search The List : http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_search.php
The list is used by many popular Technical Call Centers around the world…. If you need help using it or understand it let me know. Be sure to read the DISCLAIMERS….

Aroma Coffee Bar & more
Breakfast last Sunday was at Aroma Coffee Bar & more off of Powerline & hillsboro. The staff was friendly and food was yummy. Home fries were very well seasoned but the eggs were plan. I did have the eggs with some cheese and tomattoes. Sprinkled a little pepper and salt and they were very yummy. The price was also very good. I can’t rate the coffie, I’m not a coffiee drinker :). I will be going back to try their smoothies. I give Aroma Coffee Bar & more 4 shots of patron.
My “tech” twist, they have karaoke nights on Sunday as of this posting.
