The new integrated Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C port first announced by Intel back in June has made it into new laptops from Dell.Instead of using the Mini DisplayPort connector, which Thunderbolt has used since it was first introduced, Thunderbolt 3 is moving to a USB Type-C connector, which Apple introduced with its new MacBook. As a result, we will likely see USB Type-C make its way to the entire MacBook lineup throughout the next few years. Anandtech notes that the move to Skylake gave Dell the opportunity to add Thunderbolt 3 to the XPS 13 through a USB Type-C which also supports 10 Gbps USB, VGA, HDMI, Ethernet, and charging. The new connector can be found in Dell’s XPS 12, XPS 13, and XPS 15 laptops.Share Article:Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Email, Reddit, Digg, Delicious, StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Newsletter, App Store, YouTubeAdvertise Here
