Apple Updates iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 Specs With Bluetooth 4.2 Support

Apple has updated its technical specifications for the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and iPad Air 2 to indicate that the devices now support Bluetooth 4.2. Previously the specifications for those devices indicated support for Bluetooth 4.0.Bluetooth 4.2 brings privacy enhancements, better power efficiency, data throughput increase of up to 2.5x with a packet capacity increase of 10x.It’s unclear how the spec on the devices has changed. Perhaps a firmware update has enabled Bluetooth 4.2 support; however, some reports have suggested new hardware would be needed.Share Article:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Email,   Reddit,   Digg,   Delicious,   StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook,   Twitter,   LinkedIn,   Google Plus,   Newsletter,   App Store,   YouTubeAdvertise Here
