Verizon has announced that it will begin field testing its 5G network within the next 12 months, reports CNET. Roger Gurnani, chief information and technology architect for Verizon, says he expects “some level of commercial deployment” to begin by 2017. That’s much earlier than the 2020 time frame that was pegged for initial 5G adoption. The field tests would make Verizon the world’s first carrier to make a serious move towards 5G. It could also bring a tech revolution due to it’s massive improvements in speed.”The future is going to bring more stuff that I can’t really describe,” Gurnani said. “We can’t possibly envision the full range of disruptive products and services. But we have some possibilities.”Share Article:Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Email, Reddit, Digg, Delicious, StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Newsletter, App Store, YouTubeAdvertise Here
