Apple CEO Tim Cook made an appearance on Good Morning America today to discuss the company’s involvement in the White House’s ConnectED initiative. The initiative was announced in 2013 and Apple pledged $100 million to the project in February of last year. GMA had posted a misleading tweet yesterday suggesting Cook was to announce a “new plan”.”I think technology has to be a key part [of education] and that’s why we’re here,” Cook said. “Too many times today kids aren’t given the right for a great public education and this isn’t right. It’s not fair. I wouldn’t be where I am today without a great public education.”Share Article:Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Email, Reddit, Digg, Delicious, StumbleUponFollow iClarified:Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Newsletter, App Store, YouTubeAdvertise Here
