Apple Patents Method of Sharing Files With a Handshake

Apple has filed an patent that details methods of exchanging information between devices in proximity based on various gestures. The patent is entitled, “GESTURE-BASED INFORMATION EXCHANGE BETWEEN DEVICES IN PROXIMITY”.Notably, it would let users transfer information when they meet. For example, when a handshake gesture is detected, perhaps by your Apple Watch, it would initiate the exchange.Certain embodiments of the present invention can facilitate the exchange of information (including but not limited to contact information) between user devices (e.g., mobile devices) worn or carried by two different users.
