Apple Diversifies Suppliers for Second Generation Apple Watch SiP

Apple has reportedly diversified suppliers for the SiP (System in Package) module that will be used in the second generation Apple Watch. Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE) grabbed the majority of orders, reports DigiTimes.Amkor Technology and STATS ChipPAC, a unit of Jiangsu Changjiang Electronics Technology (JCET), have also obtained a portion of SiP module orders for the second-generation Apple Watch, said the sources.
