Apple’s first scripted television series will be a dark drama based on Dr. Dre that is full of violence and sex, according The Hollywood Reporter. The series, called ‘Vital Signs’, is semi-autobiographical and features at least one orgy scene.Multiple sources say the 50-year-old mogul is starring in and executive producing his own six-episode vehicle, dubbed Vital Signs, and the production is being bankrolled by Apple. The series likely will be distributed via Apple Music, the company’s subscription streaming site, but it’s not clear if Apple TV, the iTunes store or other Apple platforms (or even a traditional television distributor) will be involved. Apple and a rep for Dre declined to comment. Each episode of the show is said to focus on a different emotion and how Dre deals with it. The show is only a half hour long but is not a comedy. It’s described as a dark drama filled with “no shortage of violence and sex”. An episode filming today and tomorrow is said to feature an extended orgy scene.
